the co-worker part one

Ok we have all done it, told ourselves we would never do it yet some how when that little voice reminds us of this fact we seem to ignore it. Yes, I dated a co-worker. I will be the first to admit that he wasn’t the cutest but he had a certain charm about him that appealed to me. For this segment we shall call him Ichabod for the simple reason he looked like the cartoon version of Ichabod Crane. Believe me when you accidentally start singing “ Ichabod, Ichabod, Ichabod Crane” they seem to hear you. Can’t here you when you want them to hear but those ears suddenly developed to super sonic the moment you mutter something under your breath that you don’t want them to hear.

He was so cute the first time he asked me out though. His knees where shaking, he was holding onto the desk, his grip so tight that his knuckles where white. ‘Would you go out with me?’ in one solid breath spoken so fast I wasn’t really sure what he was asking at first.
Why is it that a man who can speak to you though out the day, tell jokes and have a small bit of witty banter seems suddenly speechless and tongue tied the moment he wants to ask you out? A man who can stand before a group and give speeches suddenly shook as if he was in the middle of an earthquake when speaking to you one on one.
